Diana Villanueva “Alma” is one of the current Andean voices of Peru and Latin America. She began singing in the Duo, Sentimiento, with whom she won the Taki Trophy, a national contest that discovers the best of musical interpretations.

Following this stage, she decided to continue her musical career, but this time as a solo artist. In her new solo career, she developed a new musical style that fuses the elements of Peruvian Andean Music with new diverse sounds.

She completed her musical studies of Guitar and Voice in the National Conservatory of Music, studying with Professors Raúl García Zárate, Juan LaMadrid, Pilar Nuñez, Andrés Arriaza, and Margarita Ponce.

Alma currently brings us her first world album titled “True to Hope” produced by Javier Lazo.

Her artistic vision is expressed through a combination of diverse musical genres and is inspired by the poems of renowned Peruvian and Latin American poets. Her music also explores a message of renewal and innovation, expressed with elegance and purity leading us to see that this artist is an example of a truly universal cultural spirit.

Through the years, Alma has grown utilizing various genres within her music including pop, Andean, Latin American, classical, jazz, along with others that have influenced her since childhood. These genres have rounded her experiences amplifying her musical voice which is reflected in both her music and her vocal versatility.
